Could I sue the Monarchy fo England for what they did to my ancestors in Ireland? It's the same deal.
How about a giant Class Action suit?

Yes. Ask for reparations. The ancestors of slaves of over a century ago are asking for reparations in the USA. There seems to be a movement. While I think slavery was absolutely wrong, I can't for one minute see where people who have never known slavery deserve reparations. Suing the monarchy makes as much sense to me.

Yes, you COULD sue. I could also sue the monarchy for beaming negative thoughts directly into my brain via Y! Answers. But both of our cases would probably be thrown out of court shortly after we filed them...

You could try, but first you must be able to prove that the those actions have directly impacted you in a negative way. The blacks in the US asking for reparations claim that they are still second-class citizens because of slavery. Their case is weak and yours would be weaker still.

definitely not i am afraid.english oppression of the north goes way back to at least edward who, right or wrong, was king and therefore ruler and made the laws and this followed right through to james first of scotland, and the "clearances"after the failed uprising of 1746 at the battle of cullodden where the scots failed under bonnie prince charlie.Even the second verse of God save our gracious king/queen sees the words "save us from the scots"or similar

if it was possible, every irish, scot, american indian, indian, and a few other groups would have already done it. Anyway dont worry about it. God is punishing that monarchy by allowing them to produce worthless offspring who are ugly and have health problems, and unfit to reign.

As much as I can sue the Nazis for torturing and killing my grandfather in a concentration camp, just because he didn't like their occupation of his country. (in the Balkans, non Jewish). The thing is, we cannot blame people living today for what some countrymen did decades ago.

The idea is as ridiculous as the idea of ancestral guilt. Unfortunately, wars are still being fought over what happened ages ago.

No. How would you prove it in any case. Most of the 'tales' are mere fantasies which have nothing to do with reality except the time frame.
