if you want to turn it off, Follow these instructions.
Go to the Control Panel
Click on Administrative Tools
Click on Services
look for Messenger in the list
right click on it
Click properties
In the center of the window that appears it says startup type
click the combo box drop down and select disable
and no worries about Windows Messenger again!

First close Outlook or Outlook Express. Then go to Control Panel > Add/Delete Program > Select Windows Messenger and then delete. It may need to reboot Window after deletion.

What is windows mesesager? YOu mean MSN? Whatever it is..if it's some software you installed on top of your os, you go control panel, add/remove software, find the software and hit remove.
