I have a friend that is going to have a baby. She has the name picked if it is a boy, but is stuck in the girl`s name. She wants to have a unique name for the girl but isn`t sure where to find one. So does anyone here have a website or a book that she can use to pick a unique name?

Darina ( English form)
In legend Daireann, a beautiful young woman fell in love with Fionn MacCool, a man with many wives. She asked to be his only wife for a year and then to have 1/2 of his time after that. You can find the legend of Fionn MacCool on the site I mentioned above.
Qitarah ( Arabic in origin ) means " fragrant ".

Go to Yahoo.com and type in unique baby names. And you can find something that way. I know couple you might like Honesty, Apple, Skyler. My friends daughter's name is apple. And I thought that was cute.

Try searching for "baby name generators." There are some sites that allow you to put in things you like, such as your favorite flower, gem, etc., and it will generate names off of that.
Also, if she has any male names or family names she likes, she could transform them into female names by adding "e," "a," or a feminine ending such as "lynn" or "ly" to the end...some of my favorites are Rianne, Riana, Carlynn, Joshlyn...really, the possibilities are endless!

Enough with the unique names, everyone is trying to be a star. Name it something normal, save the child the embarrassment when it is in school.

You could combine your first name and the father's first name to create a unique name for your baby. My name is Desiree and my boyfriend's name is Arni, and if we have a baby girl, I would name her Arneah (Ar nay uh) / Arneesha Rae / something like that.
