Is there anyone out there that stopped taking depo and went on to have a sucessful pregnancy? how long did it take? only serious reponses please!

Yes!I got pregnant right away after I stopped taking depo! I had a healthy 8lb 10oz baby boy!

I used to be on Depo... only had one injection though. I somehow got pregnant... I think it was faulty or something. I dunno. But I also lost the babies due to stress about 4 months into the pregnancy. Anywayz... trying to conceive could take 1-2 years... maybe less or more. It varies from woman to woman. There is a website... that is very informative about the depo shot and of trying to conceive... I've listed it below. It's also a message board. It's nice to know that you are not the only one out there in this situation. I wish you the best of luck!!

I wish i had some postive vibes for you i had the depo last year in october 2005 i havent had a period since i had that one shot and got right back off it i went to the doctor yesterday and they had to prescribe me pills just so i can start ovulating again...sorry im not no help but the dr told me it can take up to 2 years to start your periods again

yes, but it took me a long time to conceive. I became pregnant about 2 years after depo without any other B/C in between

i took the depo shot. then i stopped and got my period for about 3 months straight!! but after that was over i got pregnant again, it only took me about 4 months, when the doctors told me i wouldn't be able to get pregnant again for about another year or so.

About 1-2 years. You may be able to get pregnant right away but just to be sure have sex between day 14 -18. Those are your optimum fertile days. Count from the 1rst day of your period.
