Yes, you can. Most coffee joints, bookstores, hotels, restaurants offer Wi-Fi for free. However, certain places will have a WEP security, like a password-protected key.

Some other places use browser to login to Wi-Fi. But, once you go to these cafes, restaurants and order some food or drinks and get the password, you can use the password anywhere as long as the cafes still run their business!

Leeching off someone's Wi-Fi connection is highly risky and dangerous.

If u have a laptop with a wireless link (wi-fi). Then it can link and connect to anyones wireless modem/network card, that is not password protected. Its called a hot spot, when u can link to someones modem/network card.

Hope this info helped.

not necessarily anywhere but you can get free internet access at most coffee shops (not Starbucks) and some public places like libraries. as for home use you just have to hope that some idiot didn't bother to put a WEP key on his network and then you can just mooch off his service for free.

there are open (not password proteced) wireless networks

all you need is a wireless adapter or a wireless card and your

Careful though... some hackers deliberately leave their Networks open so people can use them... once these people are in, the Hackers can start screwing with your computer.
