last year was my sophmore year in highschool. my biology teacher had a snake and fed it cute little mice. i stole 6 mice from him so the snake could not eat the poor little things. is this a good deed, is it legal, and would you do it?

good deeds are not always legal !technically, u stole school property.morally, u saved 6 mice.good 4 u ! yes,i did this in bio lab years ago.i didnt grow up to be a criminal or anything....ur just a caring person,and u couldnt bear to see that...understandable and forgiveable.

Stealing is illegal, no matter what your intentions are. If the teacher bought the mice, or even bred them, they are his property, not yours to take. Although your intentions were good, the snake still needs to eat. Most larger snakes need warm-blooded food, preferably live or recently-killed, to eat. The snake needs to eat just as much as you or the mice need to eat. Even if you stole six, there will be six others that will be eaten. That is just nature.

I don't recommend stealing, but your heart was in the right place. I hate to see thse cute little mice and rats being fed to snakes. My daughter has 10 pet rats and they make the nicest pets.
