did you feel that your "honeymoon" was over and you started to settle for your current life?

It hasn't happened yet and I've been married almost 18 yrs. Who says you have to settle? If you don't like it, spice it up...live a little. All those things it took to get your spouse....are still needed to keep your spouse. Find the humor in the ups and downs and keep in mind that one day you are going to look back and laugh at what you are stressing over now. Marriage takes work and most people don't realize that. You take away from it what you put into it. If you aren't part of the solution, then you are part of the problem....work on it.

There is an old joke that says that the honeymoon is over the first time that one of you expels gas and the other can hear it.

When I got pregnant six months after getting married (his idea even), and he hasn't had anything serious to do with me since. But, since he isn't cheating, he isn't drinking or using drugs, and he doesn't abuse us, I can't really leave. We have two kids, and it is just a dead marriage (even after years of counseling).

My 20th anniversary is coming up in November...We still date twice a month and we flirt like teenagers every single day. You get out of it what you put into it. If your partner is worth it, invest in it.

when i said i do. and we had our first argument. stop living in a fantasy world. marriage is hard work especially for a woman. we have to compromise way more than men and we also have to alter our views of them after we get married. what you see is what you get, remember that.

I almost hate to say this...with my first marriage I could tell it was over within months.

With my second marriage...it's never been over...and it's been 5 years.
