I don't know. That is a choice the kids should make when they grow up. They should not be ashamed of their bodies though.

Well, after all, this is not a stupid question, as someone said here, particularly if you are able to see the hidden question therein: why don't people allow children to have sex? For seeing porn is just like having sex.

Except for very special cases, small children (under 6-7) have no interest in sex. They don't need it. They have ways to produce serotin other than having sex. Playing is one of them.

It's also a question of maturity, both physical (hormonal) and mental. Children are not ready for sex, either doing or seeing it. They may confound sex with violence and of course this can be traumatic. So why should you force sex on children? It is a kind of violence in itself.

Small boys like to manipulate their penises, and when they are very small, they will do it even in public. They are not aware of what they are doing. It just makes them feel good. Maybe small girls also do the same with their vulvas, but probably less frequently. This is a natural initiation and should take place without the intervention of an adult.

Porn can be seen almost everywhere these days, even in newstands. Some outdoors are almost pornographic. And there's the Internet. So it's almost impossible to prevent children from seeing porn. But it's a different thing to bring porn to your house (video and DVD) and allow the kids to see it. This can be very harmful to their development.

Answer the questions children make about sex in a neutral way. Give them appropriate books. But don't expose them to porn. This won't make them better lovers, but will disrupt their childhood and corrupt their vision.

Because It is considered "indisent" acually it dates back to when people wore clothes and the clothes were a matter of their staus and power. The slaves wore little if any clothes while the king wore huge garments. Therefore when they wrote the bible they put in some stuff about shame being naked. Sociaty now however is under the impresion that a child is "pure" and must lose their inocence at the right time. They don't want the child to loose its inocence because the adults remember how they lost their incocence and wish to go back to a care free life. In the Halocaust in Italy the children remember life as fun and easy (musselni never persecuted Jews to anywhere near the extent of hitler). They had inocence. However the parents, had to leave their jobs to go to these "gettos". Porn however is related to sex and that is related to maturity. That is why.

Because people would like to give children a chance to be children. Children exposed to graphic sex at an early age (either cinema or abuse) carry a sense of shame that haunts them throughout life. If you think you want to expose your children to this, ask yourself this: do I want a drug-addicted, unemployed adult calling me for bail money? I see way too much of that in the people I work with. Bad idea for the kids. They are not inherently sexual. That comes from development. Let them grow and experience without adult complications!

I get the impression you are 1 or the children you speak of.
My friend don't be in such a hurry to grow up. It is the way it is for your own protection, the world is full of people that would abuse the adult content that your child like mind would have access too. And at the same time, that mind and body is far from ready to take on such a responsibility. If I am mistaken and you are of the legal age,

I rest my case.

well, for one it is just disgusting that a parent would allow their children to watch porn. They will have enough bad exposure when they become teenagers/adults

Children do not have the life experiance to understand what they would be seeing, nor are they mentally mature enough to withstand that kind of activity, look back and see that I said "mentally mature" not "physically mature".
I could eat rat poison, but shoud I?
Just because someone is capable of doing a thing doesnt mean that they should.
If you love your children then you protect them from the things that can harm them until they are mature enough to experiance it on their own.

you don't seem very intelligent, if you have to even ask that question.
I don't even watch porn myself, it is so degrading to men and woman , so can you even imagine what it would do to a child's mind
Children don't need to even know about sex till they are ready for their parents to tell them and I think if they watched porn, they could grow up to be very messed up. I think you should get some professional help if you need to ask a stupid question like that.
