If there was a way... I would have tried it quite a few months ago. I have not had a period in 5 months... but I was not pregnant... I had surgery done on my ovaries. I barely started my period yesterday. In all honesty... you could be stressing yourself out too much... even though you don't think that you are stressed. Try to relax a bit. Try exercising a little bit each day (10-20 minutes is all you need) and eat healthy. I heard that a warm cup of Ginger tea might help to regulate your period... it couldn't hurt to try... besides that... tea is healthy for you. If you still have not started (and NOT pregnant)... you can talk to your doctor about prescribing you birth control... it usually helps. I suggest just trying the regular pill (the shot causes weight gain and a lot of health problems in the long run... and the patch causes blood clotting and increases your chances for stroke at an early age... TRUST ME... YOU DON'T WANT THEM). Oh... and sex should not change your period (unless you got pregnant). I don't know what is up with the world today... but lately I notice that kids are having kids and it is just not right... so please make sure that you are using protection. Good luck!!

Your period starts when your body is ready, 18 days late is kind of off. Have you changed you birth control? are you on any? If you are not and you have had sex recently, you may want a pregnancy test. I would get an appointment. Also, some other things to consider, new work out routines will cause you to be late or miss periods all together as will certain infections and new stresses in your life. Talk to your mother, she will help you figure this out.

No, because you period maybe irregular. You have nothing to worry about. Its normal. You may have irregular periods because of sports, exercise, anything can knock your period back. I haven't had mines in 2 to 3 months. I play sports though. Some girls don't even get there period until like they are 18 years old.

Have you been having sexual relations? Then you need to take a test and find out if you are pregnant. If you haven't had intercourse, then you need to talk to your mom and ask her to make a check up with your pediatrician OR with a gynecologist. Either way, there is nothing you can do to make your period start when it is missing. Your best bet, overall, is to talk to your mom, because if you ARE pregnant, you are going to need to tell her anyways, and you might as well get support with this from the beginning. Good luck!

are you sexually active? is there a chance of a pregnancy? usually you will have irregular periods. your period may be late cause of stress (possibly that school is starting soon), have you been exercising more? or have you changed your diet? talk to your mom about it if you feel comfortable, shes there to listen to you, just wait another month and see if it comes or not then go to the doctors to see whats up =) good luck

it should happen to a girl in the normal course as a natural process.if it is not happening, then you have to know why? only then you talk of something to start it.
Q's. 1. are you of the proper age? ( in India girls get it by 14. in USA it may even be 20)
2. if of the proper age, do you have a hormone disorder? (see your Doctor)
3. if no disorder, then is there any other disease?( see your doctor)
if all these are done, then you can get something( hormones) for it.
please DO NOT take any drug without physician's advice.

First you need to figure out why it is late. Sometimes simple things like stress, eating more or less can change your cycle and it is normal for your cycle to change throughout your life. Just make sure from a doctor it is not something else. It would be great if we have an on and off button though!

Unless you want to 'live fast, die young, and make a beautiful corpse' there's no reason to rush it.
I started late, and it was a great thing, because I'm almost fifty now and I look much less than 35. Slow to mature means slow to age. You're lucky!

you need to take a pregnancy test, by the way I know I aint your momma but you are too young to be having sex! Your going to wish you would have saved your self for the right man when you get older. Just make sure that you respect your self, if not no one else will either.

The best thing for you to do is go to the family doctor and see if your expecting. You said you'd done it one time and that's all it takes believe me i know. I made luv to my 2nd fiancee and got her pregnant and when i came back home her ex hubby ran her off the road raped her and she lost the baby, but according to the doctors it's not a baby until it's 18 days old. Ours was 12 days old!
