Is it unprofessional to change clothing in your own office for afternoon workout? My new director gave a little gasp when I said I close my blinds to change for a afternoon workout.

O No and what happens in your office stays in your office.
Teach of course or to aid yourself is OK. Bathrooms are so yucky. Then the fact you shower is great. Wash your outfit of course. People reach a point to have four walls and a desk.
It is ok for some things personal. BRAVO

More then likely the director is overweight and doesn't give a crap about his well being.

But, in reality it would probably be better if you did change in the rest room. In the event there is a customer visiting the company etc. After all it is a work enviroment and your office is there property, if you owned the company it would be hersay, but avoid conflict, and office gossip and just change in the bathroom.

For one thing it can be a bad place because it is the work place, a place of business, not a bathroom or a bedroom.
Second, If you are looking for an advancement, I wouldn't change in the office, but if I wasn't, and I really didn't care about what people thought, then I would change in the office.
I think its just a matter of opinion on your part.

As long as no one sees you it shouldn't be a problem. What would be unproffessional is smelling of after-workout BO and sporting bad sweat stains (not to mention your workout attire)

If you worked for me, I'd say the office is not the place to change.

Curious, can you lock your door?

No, your director's thong is too tight.

But I hope organizational culture at your office requires people to knock before they enter your office.

No-I don't think so. If it's your office, and you lock the door, what's the problem?

One of your previous questions allude to the fact that you eat unhealthy food.....and you change clothes to work out?

I think there are bigger issues afoot than you changing clothes.

Changing in the bathroom might be better so nobody walks in on you.
