you'll first have to open up your computer. find your pci slot. unscrew the metal bracket near the pci slot you want to install your new sound card. push the card into the pci slot. screw it in, then boot up, install the drivers, and you're good to go.

when you install your sound card you can go to add new hardware in the control panel and the computer will give you the rest it will update the diver on win xp or it will ask for disk with drivers on it.

They also make USB sound...no opening the case, just install the software, then plug the external soundcard into a USB port.

you mean hardware or software instalation...Hardware-read the manulas it's the best and it will not give you any problems and if you ment software instaltion then it's plug and play you windows should recognize it atomaticlly and you have the drivers
