It would be best if someone else did it for you but if you must you must. Make sure the room is well ventilated and wear a mask just to be sure. Paint for a short amount of time and leave the area for a while and then come back.
I read somewhere that if you add 2-3 drops of pure vanilla extract to a gallon of paint it takes that paint smell away. Something to try.

When my grandmother was pregnant with my uncle, she was painting her house. I'm not sure how far along she was when she started, but she went into labor with a paintbrush in her hand. My uncle came out perfectly fine and was born right on schedule. Paints nowadays are even safer, especially latex paints. They're low on odors and fumes. I wouldn't get on any ladders though, a fall could be disasterous. Talk to your doctor if you're concerned, but I think you should be fine.

Yes, it's fine, but buy a mask. Not one of those flimsy paper things, but a real mask that keeps odor/vapors out. I was 8.5 months pregnant when I painted the nursery, and I bought a mask at The Home Depot. I think it was $5.99, and I smelled NOTHING through it.

You will be fine. We did our daughters room around that time too. She is fine. Just make sure it is a water based paint and a well ventilated room.

Yes, as long as you're not having any kind of complications.
Make sure not to strain yourself and stay off a ladder if you can possibly help it.
I painted my nursery around the same time and me and my baby are fine!

Here's a hint - preg or not; light a candle in the room. It helps burn off those organic chemicals that give the "paint smell". That smell disappears quicker.
Just be careful that there's enough air for the candle, and that you don't knock it over and start a fire!

As your doctor! Anything that is toxic, including cleaning supplies and paint, is very harmful for your baby....can cause early labor or prematurity.

You can, but be careful. It made me very light headed to even be in the room, so my husband had to do it all (lucky for me he is a painter by trade - so it got done right!!!!)
