They can bite (they have jaws) but it wouldn't really be painful. The jaws are too weak to pierce the skin.

If you mean, could they possibly, then yes. If you mean, would they be interested in doing it, then no. They're vegetarian, but there's no particular reason their mouth parts couldn't chomp on you.
