Yes, your wife comes before the dog. It is very sad that you don't know this. Does your dog do the things for you that your wife does and make you feel the way you want in every respect like your wife can make you feel. Are you IN LOVE with your dog or your wife? Can you imagine how you would feel if your wife put a dog before you? Dogs are trained to behave in the manner in which they do. Food, treats and a pat on the head helped the dog with the training. Your wife did not have to be trained to love and care for you. Shame on you for thinking that way. Shame , shame, shame. Treat your dog as a pet. Treat your wife as a person that you love undeniably, with all your heart and soul and strive for happiness with a human being. Love your dog and treat your dog with the love you give to pets and you love and accept the love of the pet as just that.

If you are serious, it may be because you see your dog as a family member. If so, consider the dog a child and YES put your wife first.

Coming from someone married to an animal fanatic, Most definitely yes. Your wife and children should always be priority over your dog/animals. They are 2 different kinds of love. There's dog love and there is people love!

I put my husband before my dogs, but that wasn't good enough for him. When he tossed down the final gauntlet to choose him or them...I chose them and boy am I glad I did. I've never been so happy in my life. It's your choice and your choice alone. Nobody here has lived your life so they can't possibly give you an intelligent answer for your situation.

Is this a joke?
Well, actually, if you're being truthful, I often think the same way with my fiance and our dog.
Dog's are unconditional and their love is limitless, but it's not the same with a woman. A woman will be there as your confidante, lover, friend, and parter in life.

Unless you are getting better sex from the dog than you are your wife, I'd have to say yes.

If she's forcing a choice on you, I'd say take the dog. Your dog doesn't nag. Find someone who'll love you AND your dog.
