Why is it okay for two woman to kiss and mess around, and to have people so turned on and even like it. But, when people see two men messing around or kissing, its very wrong.. I dont want to hear it because its a sin. Its a sin to judge people.

Im for gay rights. But I just dont see how its okay for one group of people to be okay but the opposite it is not.

Im fine with it, I have a few male friends who are gay and I love them to death. But I dont like them being bashed on for nothing

This annoys the hell outta me 2! If two guys kiss anywhere they will be bashed into a corner! But if 2 girls kiss they have 9 out of 10 chances to score a big oooooooooohhhhhhh.....Women even kiss on movies, and television shows.....

Patriarchy. For quite a while back in history, it was ALWAYS at least a little bit more ok for lesbians than it was for gay men. The straight white men who run everything find lesbianism tittilating, so it's allowed in the background. People were happier to look the other way etc. In today's society, that means that lesbians do face more invisibility issues; as such I won't say they have it "better" than gay men by any means, but they do have it different in some ways. All the same people who get turned on by lesbians, though, are utterly repulsed by gay men as sexual objects. Even look at what the opposition focuses on: there's a LOT more propaganda that mentions gay men and what they do in the bedroom than there are mentions of lesbians, because lesbians won't arouse the disgust that these leaders are looking for.

Think about it for a minute.....2 straight men will get odd looks if they put their arms around each other and walk down the street. 2 straight women can do the same thing and nobody cares. I don't think it's because they're gay as much as people are uncomfortable when men show affection to each other.
And you're right.....I don't know about it being a sin but it's wrong to judge other people.

I think a lot of the deep seated resistance to acceptance of gay men is that in old thinking, man was supposed to be superior and dominant to woman, and when two men make love, one of them accepts the submissive part, which then says that a man doesn't have to be dominant. Two women can mess around, because in that same old way of thinking, it doesn't matter since they are both inferior to men.
Along with this line of thinking, the improvement to the way women are treated in this world, more as equals, sometimes having the position of authority, sometimes being dominant in a relationship, homosexuality has become more acceptable.
Does this make any sense to you?

You make the point that Gay men have made for many years...I am personally not into public displays, but it doesn't bother me no matter what I see...live and let live. What I don't like to see is a couple (usually straight) with their hands all over each other's a$$es, crotches, etc. I usually will say something to the effect of "get a motel."

Why? Because a popular myth of straight men is that they are going to be wanted to join in on this. Every straight man dreams of having sex with 2 or 3 girls. These same men start singing a different tune when they realize that they arn't wanted by lesbians after they discover for themselves what a lesbian really is.

I think it comes down to men being more visually stimulated than women (generally speaking, of course). That's why I still have the Britney Spears/Madonna deep-throat kiss saved on my computer.
I think women are more turned on by sensuality, which manifests itself in romanticism in men. That's why, at least based on the women to whom I've spoken about this, women would rather see a guy in boxers than naked.

just a typical double standard. plus i think more people are attracted to women, rather than men. it is more common for a "straight" woman to be attracted to another woman than it is a "straight" man to find a man attractive. therefore more people would rather see two women make out. though its a sad double standard. if its wrong for two men, then its wrong for two women... though personaly i dont think its wrong at all.
another reason may be that the femal form is just more attractive. men are ugly. lol.
