i have this black and grey striped skirt that is cut along the bottom in a layered-like way (and the only way i can describe it is it's piratish). what shirt should i wear with it? i have a black shirt with a drawing of an anchor on it, but I think that may be a little too pirate...

Yeah it is...try wearing something else with it...like a little black strappy top. Simple but gorgeous. The fact that you're wearing a pirate style skirt will just make you look like you're aiming for a pirate theme if you wear a pirate style shirt too.

Wear it. It'll be nautical, not piratical.
