I tried to eat an apple, crackers, dry frosted flakes I drank water, I've gone for walks, and the worst thing: I've tried to ignore it. First, see your doctor to make sure its nothing worse then just morning sickness.
* Avoid warm places as heat can increase the nausea feelings.
* Take naps during the day (but not right after eating). Tiredness plays a big part in morning sickness.
* Get enough sleep at night.
* Get out of bed slowly in the morning.
* Try eating plain crackers or dry cereal before you get out of bed in the morning.
* Avoid greasy or spicy foods as they often cause nausea or heartburn.
* Eat what you want when you want it. Your cravings will not lead you the wrong way.
* Have frequent protein snacks. (Low fat meats and seafood, nuts, eggs and beans are high protein.)
* Eat smaller meals every two hours or so.
* Eating something salty before a meal can help you "make it through" a meal.
* Do not drink fluids with your meals.
* Non caffeinated teas like peppermint and ginger can help calm nausea.
* Drink small amounts of fluids regularly though out the day to avoid dehydration.
* Do not skip meals if you can help it.
* Avoid spicy and fried food - both eating and smelling it can increase your nausea.
* Cold food may have less nausea inducing smells associated with them.

Most of what others have listed is good stuff. I'm afraid I can't really add to that. ^^; Medically, however, I will mention that if it's really bad you should try asking you doctor about it. There's a chance that it's hyperemesis gravidarum, a rare but severe case of morning sickness. If this is so, then the doctor will prescribe you something to lessen the morning sickness to a tolerable level so you can eat and won't get dehydrated.

Another idea that has popped up recently is that there are psychological factors which may contribute to morning sickness. I don't know if any of it is true or not, though I do know that I has worse morning sickness this time around and has problems with depression as well.

Well, I have three sites listed. The first is info about hyperemesis, the second has a natural solution you may want to try, and the third is an article about morning sickness being psychological. The last, just take as you will. I've no more idea about it than someone is doing research on it.

Oh, I will say that fruit-flavored cough drops worked well to help calm my morning sickness a little.

When I've been pregnant, I have morning sickness 24 hours a day. What I do is keep a package of crackers nearby, and I eat a couple every half-hour or so, and first thing in the morning. It isn't a complete fix, but it helps ease the symptoms for me. I buy whatever crackers appeal to me. Usually I like saltines but now and then I crave graham, or butter crackers like Ritz.

I also sip my water, a teaspoon or so at a time, instead of trying to drink it more frequently. My friends tell me that smelling vanilla, using vanilla lotion, and such, tends to settle the stomach. Maybe vanilla isn't the thing for you, but give it a whirl, see what kind of lotion or scent makes you feel calm and settled. You can safely try home remedies like peppermint tea, too. Ask at your local natural/organic food store, then run it by your doctor, before you try anything more unusual than tea or scented lotions.

Talk to your doctor, too. You might need medical help to deal with it, if it's gotten as bad as you say, and if you and the baby aren't handling it well.

But, take heart. Your body was carefully designed (whether you believe in creation or evolution) to grow a baby and give birth. Whatever it does, however miserable it makes you feel, is generally normal and healthy for you and the baby, even if we have no scientific understanding of how that could be.

I know this sounds corny, but when I was pregnant the only thing that worked for me to fix the sickness issue was to go get a regular roast beef sandwich from Arby's. It's bland, but has enough food to it that you get some substance. I think I also ate applesauce. Maybe try the
Banana
Rice
Applesauce
Tea
Toast
I know when people are getting over a stomach virus and the system in weak they have you try that. There is also meds the doctor can give you, I have two nieces that had the same problem and they ended up getting meds from the dr.
Congrats on the baby!

You can also chew TUMS! They are pregnancy safe.

As an RN and a mother of 5 I know morning sickness, the one thing I can tell you is you need to be seen by a professional now that your vomiting is hurting. Also vomiting constantly can cause dehydration and that is a bad thing especially in pregnancy and you may need to have an IV for hydration. Also when you are sick like that exercise can be a bad thing again for over stimulating the stomach muscles and then the dreaded dehydration. Good Luck and make sure to take it easy and crackers and ginger ale if you can stand it. Make sure to be seen and if the problems get worse definitely go to the ER.

The next trimester should be better, you will feel less sick and have more energy! Unfortunately I was sick for my whole pregnancy! I don't want to scare you, hopefully for you it will get better!
Take Care of yourself get plenty of rest

You also can get ginger candy, and there are these thing called Preggy Pop (they are suckers) I got the at Motherhood store!
Someone also told me (I didn't try it so I don't know if it works) there are sea sickness bracelets you can buy, you might want to try those!

Hey first of all congrats!!! I have three myself. It sounds like way more than morning sickness is going on! You should go to your OBGYN or the ER and be sure everything is ok with you and the baby. Are you taking prenatial vitamins? Well if so do not take them in the morning because they cause morning sickness. Take them at night before you go to bed works ALOT better. Try some homemade Limade it always helped settle my stomach. Well good luck!!! Here is a link or two that might help!!!

She is not being discriminated against because of her pregnancy. She is getting in trouble for failing to fulfill her duties on a regular basis. A company is allowed to "discriminate" if accommodations would create an undue burden. If your girlfriend is totally unable to do her job and is asking to be paid for not showing up (or to be able to come and go as she pleases), that is essentially an undue burden. She should ask if she can telecommute, or she should take a leave of absence until her morning sickness gets under control.

I was the same way that you are. I lost 20 pounds in 1 week and ended up finding out that if you cut open an lemon and smell it before you try eating anything that this helps morning sickness. I even used this method all day. I would cut it open and sometimes suck on the lemon before eating anything. I did get through my 1st trimester and was ok through my 2nd and 3rd. I wish you the best and hope that you will make it through this hard time. And congratulations!!
