I just re-signed a lease, that I don't want anymore. I was trying to find someone to take it over completely, but all I can find is someone who can sublease for half of it, and then I would need to find another subleaser in December. But, as soon as I find someone to move in here, I am going to find a new apartment. Is it possible for someone to have two leases at the same time?

As long as you can cover the costs of both, there is no reason why you can't. Just be aware that you are going to doubly liable by having both leases in your name. If there is nothing in the lease against subletting, you should require any prospect to sign a sublet agreement with you and specify everything in it. You might even make a little profit on the deal. You should also ask for signed permission for you to check an applicant's credit, and you should check it. If it's not good, you won't want that person subletting from you because you won't know for sure whether he or she is going to be responsible enough to live up to the agreement. Don't leave anything to chance. Cover your tail in writing.

There's no limit on the number of leases one can have. It's just that you're financially responsible for all of the terms on the lease. If you have the money to meet all the terms, you can have 10 or more leases all at the same time. The only problem you (in your situation) may encounter is if you try to be too imaginitive in getting out of a lease, and it constitutes a violation of the lease terms, and could bring you problems you just don't need in your life.

Ummm....sounds like you are in a mess. Is there anything in your lease that says you can sublet? You could wind up in a lot more trouble if you sublet without permission. Other than that I would say you are pretty much stuck until one or both of the leases runs out.

As long as you pay for both of them, and you are obligated to pay for both as you have signed saying you would.

I have no idea, good question. It probably depends on where you are, too.
