There is NOTHING wrong with being a loner. Some people need more alone time than others... Just make sure you don't completely isolate yourself from those who love you.

Yep, there is something wrong with it. We have been raised in a culture that pushes people to be social and there is a lot of right about being socialble. Besies finding out whats going on around you, you also can assure others that your in a good place. If more people accepted this truth, we would have less personal crime, like child abuse, rape, or drunken escapists. So work at being socialable, we need your help if we are going to help the world become a safer place for everybody.

You sound like me! When I was in high school, the principal and guidance counselor thought they were doing me a favor by telling my parents I might benefit from "therapy". Guess what? I am still a "loner". Like you, I have friends, and I do things with them, usually during the weekdays - but not every weekday.. One the weekends, when I am not working - I like my alone time. I have one friend who has a ton of friends and is always doing things with them. It would drive me crazy. I do not think there is anything wrong with wanting to be alone, unless it affects your school, work, family life and if you are sure you are not depressed.

That's a good thing. It shows that you are happy just by yourself. You don't depend on other people to make you feel wanted all the time. I was like that when I was younger....and I still am. I have a family now...I don't have the luxury of being able to be alone whenever I want ....but I do demand an alone time one to three hours at least every other day. Most of the time it's only one hour. At first I felt guilty about feeling that way....but it's the time when I can just be me, myself and I....It's my time to listen to myself instead of only what others want and need. So, welcome to the club!

I am an only child and had to be by myself a lot. Now at 49 my solitude is something I crave and must have. I enjoy my friends and family immensely but do prefer to be alone. The quite time within my own thoughts is comforting and familiar. I don't find that this is wrong, but wonderfully different.

There nothing wrong with being alone. Sometime I feel that way, when I'm stress out, but likely I wanna least have sometime to think for I go talk with my friend.

No, it's a personality trait. I understand perfectly. Sometimes you crave company, right? Go with your own moods.
