Is it possible that he lied about the murder, and simply needs mental health care?

I am not convinced of anything at this point. I am starting to think though that he is not actually the killer. I think however that it is possible the DA has more evidence that the media does not know about.

No, a simple Confession will not be enough. Forensic examination by psychologists and criminologists etc. will be going on for weeks even months before any solid conviction is established. I am tired of hearing about this case. I'm sure her parents want to bring this case to rest and want all the loose ends taken care of and bring it to an end.

I don't know. Anyone who murders a child is mental, but at the same time, he seems too eager to claim he is the murderer. He has some kind of reverence for That Davis guy who killed Polly Klaas. I want to believe they finally caught the killer. Whatever the case, he is a sick bastard who needs to be off the streets!

I hope that it has finally been solved, if he is lying then he does have some more serious mental issues to confess to doing such a thing. It's hard to imagine someone confessing to something they never did so let's hope he really did it and get him where he belongs, it would be nice for her unsolved case to finally be closed.

We won't know that until all the facts are out. The guy seems mentally off to me and in search of attention and I know from working with tons of crazy people that they often seek attention in weird, messed up ways.

The news is hung up about "no drugs found in her system" and he claims to have drugged her, but what about GHB? Just because it's only recently become "popular" doesn't mean it wasn't around then????

No. It won't be solved until it goes to court and the guy's been found guilty (beyond a reasonable doubt) and convicted. Then and only then will I take into consideration that the case might be solved.

When i first started to read about it i was so happy. after 10 years!!! thats great but now that he may be just a freak that is just obsessed with the case that pisses me of. Also he says he drugged her and when the examined her it showed no drugs so its tough because some drugs can be undetectable.

He does seem to have some definite mental problems. We'll have to see how the trial goes, theres new things he is saying every day. I think it is possible that someone would lie about it though.
