I've been once and loved it. I was only in one place though. Where is the most beautiful location with awsome sunsets and great dinners?

Oia on Santorini has the most impressive Sunset and lots of great places to eat... don't go anywhere expensive though, stick with the local tavernas. Otherwise Folegandros has an amazing sunset, they all do really. Naxos too, and has good food.

Greece is the "greatest small united states interior the international". Henry Miller stated that, not I and Henry made a really precise statement. Greece has beautiful Islands and they are different forms of islands to boot. Over 3000 of them. The mainland has some fairly indescribable beauties, too many to educate. What you've right here as comments are each and every man or woman's personal favorites and what you want to do is to get a photo e book out of your library, leaf by ability of it with a map of Greece next to you and see for your self what places you favor to visit. acquaintances of mine flow to Greece once each and every 3-4 years and create a special itinerary each and every time. Meteora, Santorini, Meganisi, Corfu, Rhodes, Halkidiki, Crete, Kos, Delphi, Nafplio, Monemvasia, Ksanthi, the Evros Delta, Gianena, Pilio, Lake Plastira, Galaxidi, Hydra, Zagorohoria, Thasos.... How is this for a beginning?

In Greece there are so many wonderful places, you can not just pick one as the best. But if you want great sunsets I believe Cyclades are great and specially Santorini!!!

Santorini!, is the island with the unique sunset, with a great view in the volcano and great atmosphere in the tavernas, where you could enjoy your dinner. Enjoy your trip!.

I`ve also heard that the best place for that is Santorini... But, when you ask someone who lives in Greece which place is the most beautiful, they all say Kephalonia...

Well, the capital is Athens and in August most of Athenians are in their country homes, thus Athens is easier to enjoy, although it is usually very hot but dry!
I would prefer Crete, it combines everything, from country side to archaeological sites, museums to tavernas, beaches to mountains and caves, universities and institutions to gold, ....

Any place has its pros!
I would advice Crete! Great sunrises and sunsets in East and West Crete! There you can also find superb food!
