I had an abortion when I was a teenager. It was the worst thing that I ever did. I murdered my own child. I can't take back what I did, but I can try to help other women to really think about what it is that they are doing. There was a Dr. who decided to broadcast an abortion on live t.v. The baby that he was trying to murder was moving away from the instruments that he was trying to kill it with. Needless to say he no longer performed abortions. By the time you find out that you are pregnant your baby has a heartbeat. It also has a soul. Abortion is murder. America slaughters 4,000 babies a week. If anyone reading this is considering having an abortion, please think of that innocent baby with a heartbeat and soul growing within you. It is not a blob of flesh it is a person. Don't make the same mistake I made. My child would have been 9 in June.

First, I think the question is usually mis stated.
People aren't usuall FOR abortion. They usuall intend to mean that they are FOR a woman's right to choose that route.
Regarding your statement about taking a life that has been in existance for 16 weeks. I am not on that side of the fence, but I fully understand that point of view. (which was your final point)
What I question about your moral choice is that you say it is all right to take that life, at 16 weeks, if the mother was raped, or was the victim of incest. Why does that 16 year old life not have a right to exist if the mother was raped?
I am not criticising YOU or any others who have similar beliefs. But the way you phrase your statement is very similar to some of the arguments made all over this nationwide, worldwide debate. I goes to illustrate the fact that there are very few, hard, fast, sure answers. For most of us, there is no clear delineation betwen right or wrong.

To begin with; I don't believe very many people are FOR "abortion"- Any more than they are FOR going out to do what they have to do in a War. Life is NOT Disney World. It means having to make nightmarish choices that nobody should have to make. Are you going to tell me that the World would be a better place if yet another personal choice were mandated off the table? -That a woman HAS TO DO what someone else dictates, because THEY don't like what she's doing to her body??? If that's what you believe, then I would suggest your time would be better spent- lobbying for a law that picks up ALL the medical bills a pregnant woman assumes UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANSES- so that when abortion is outlawed, that baby is GUARANTEED the "right to life" you're demanding. -And if that baby is given up for adoption- it's adoptive parents are paid in kind to maintain that "right" according to the economic standards of the time. That way- we'll ALL have to pay for the "right to live"- equally.

The baby's heart is beating at just three weeks after conception. By six weeks, the baby has recordable brain waves and little fingers. By eight weeks, the baby can suck her thumb and feel pain. The average age of an aborted baby in the United States is 10 weeks.
You might want to reconsider your position on rape and abortion. Remember, the baby is innocent and doesn't deserve to die for the crime of her father. We would never kill an infant whose father was a rapist, right? She would not be less worthy of life because of the circumstances of her conception. Why, then is the baby in the womb fair game? Also, abortion only increases the grief and trauma of a woman who has been raped. When she aborts her child, SHE becomes the aggressor, hurting another innocent victim the way she was hurt, and that will haunt her for the rest of her life. If you are raped, but it was by your "legally separated for 4 years, but not divorced" Ex husband, because HE wants YOU to have his child... and goes to court so He can keep it, Should you be forced to provide him with that child? How about if you were handed documentation that (falsley) confirmed a vasectomy... ? People get killed a LOT older than 16 weeks every day. Or Is it Just the woman who (might, maybe consider) having an abortion that need to be told that they have no control over their body when it comes to MEN having children....? How can anyone be against a woman's right to decide whether or not her body can be used against her will? Pro-CHOICE is not for abortion, it is for INFORMED Decisions...

I see abortion alright if, the girl/woman is pregnant because of rape or incest. I can also seeing abortion as alright, if it is obvious the baby is going to have a problem, due to a drug addicted mother who everyone knows could care less about getting clean to have a safe pregnancy, and have a healthy child. I would also not have a problem with it if it was obvious there was severe medical problems involved, but if someone had a one night stand or something and got pregnant, and both the fetus and mother are healthy she should have the child. Plenty of people would love to be able to adopt the kid.
That is just my opinion. If you were asking should the government make the decision to ban abortion, I'd say they shouldn't. That is not their job to say what a girl/woman can do/not do to do her own body.

are you just going to keep asking until you get the majority of people who answer to side with you? Understand we are all entitled to our own opinions. If you can give reasonable explanations for why you believe the way you do, then by all means share. That's why we have these messages. But stop trying to force your opinion on others. You can't change all of our opinions, especially without good solid reasons. For example science or medical reports and research studies.
Why do you care so much what we think here on Yahoo Answers? Join a program in your local community where you can actually have a face to your voice and other people to back you up? You might be able to change some people's minds. Good luck with that

usually it is for rape or incest and if the baby was born anyway s/he would be introduced in a world without love but horrible horrible Torture when they all die slowly at the age of 0-1 by their suppose to be parents no less
in the 70's women usually go behind farms cut out the fetus with some sort of tool and toss it in the trash
so unless you want 'em to die once they can finally feel pain you should be pro, not anti. cause they are gonna get murdered anyway.

Abortion is murder. Anybody that is for abortion doesn't understand the development of an embryo and that it fully formed at 12 weeks has a beating heart and 28 days and that they are being ridiculous to think it is not a life. I think it is so sad that people would rather kill than give life. Under most circumstances having sex is a woman's choice, but it's not here body she's killing. I feel sick for men. We tell them we can kill it, give it away or make you pay. I am glad I am not a man.
