Yes, "sweet" refers to a low content of sulfur.

I would just like to add that a sweet crude is generally more expensive than a sour one. This is because the increasingly tight environmental restrictions on products limit the amount of sulfur (among other things) that gasoline and diesel can contain. Thus, sulfur has to be removed making it more expensive to process sour crudes than sweet crudes.
