Yes, It is. You may not think so, but your still a child. You feel young, invinceable and know absolutely everything there is to know, WRONG!!! We learn new things everyday of our lives, no matter how old we are! First, you need to get yourself Educated!!! That means college, Business or Tech School. You MUST Have at least a BA or BS degree, Now, to even begin to earn a "Living Wage"! So stay in school untill you graduate from college. So forget getting pregnant or engages. Besides You Should Be Married BEFORE You Get Pregnant! You can't take care of yourself, let alone a child, packing up fast food at Micky D's. There's Rent, Food, Gasoline, Car Payment, Insurance Payment, Phone, electric bill, Gas Bill, Water & Sewer Bill., Furniture Payments, Cable Bill, Shall I go On??? This Takes Money and NOT the kind you can make flipping burgers! Life IS Tough, And No One Will Care About You And Your Problems, They Have Their Own! Just Ask Someone! So stay at home with your parents, stay in school and start planning for your future NOW, believe me, you get older MUCH Faster Than You Now Realize! God Bless you!

Yes, in my opinion 17 is to young to be trying to get pregnant. You have your whole life ahead of you...stop trying, finish school, get a job you love, travel then start your family. Having a baby is a huge responsiblity, it's a 24/7 job and when your friends are out partying you will be a home with the baby. Trust me no matter how old you are when you have a baby you are never truly prepared for the changes in your life. Please wait until you're older, more emotionally secure and financially secure.

As for being engaged at 17 are you to young...maybe. There is nothing wrong with being engaged and then waiting a few years to get married. Make sure this is the person you want to be with for the rest of your life. Divorce is hard on and individual and even harder when children are involved.

Why do you want to get married and have a baby so young? If the answer to this question is to get out of home and have someone to love you then it's the wrong reasons. Maybe go and speak to a conuncillor. Be sure you know what you want and why.

17 is way to young to get pregnant or to be engaged. If the guy/girl loves you they will want your best interest at heart, and understand why you want to wait.If you get pregnant when you are young some people are immature and wouldn't know how to handle the situation, so they would just drop it, and leave you. Do you really want to get married young, and spend the rest of your life with that person. I think it is better to wait, and not have any regrets about what you did when you were young.

Way too young.

It may seem like a good idea, but guaranteed, in 5 years you will know a lot more than you do now (compare yourself to a 12 yr old) and if you give up these ideas for the time being, one of the things you will know is that you were wise to wait until you were older instead of filling your life with regret and hardship.

You may think that I am wrong about the regret and hardship, but that is the difference between being 17 and feeling "I can't wait, I want it now. It will be different for me" and being 22 and having more experience in life, more education (raising a child is $$$$$$) and more maturity, which will cause you to look back and be grateful that you didn't make a such a serious commitment way too early in your life.

I got married when I was 17 and had a baby when i was 18. I wish I would have waited for both. There is still alot of things to experince that you have not yet at this stage in life. I agree that having a child at a younger age is good but not 17. There is men out there like you would not believe. Do not limit yourself quite yet. You owe it to yourself to live alittle. Your not even out of high school yet. When your old enough to go to the bar and have yourself a drink legally then you can think about it. There is a whole new life after 21.

You have a whole life ahead of you... you are probably barely outta high school if you aren't still in high school.... you still have your 18th birthday to look forward to and then the big 2-1!!!!!! Hello!!! Party, go to college, live in a dorm w/people u don't know and travel the world or at least the US.... then... get married and have a baby!!!! You can't even live on your own legally yet, much less have your own baby!!!

Oh yes. At 17, we all thought we knew everything and our boyfriend at the time was "the one" however, we all grew up and learned that we were wrong. Give yourself time. Have fun, be a teenager, and dont worry about growing up so fast. It will all come so quickly that you will be sickened by the fact that you wanted to rush. Please wait. Enjoy life while you are young.

You would be legal to marry but I think you should wait until your twenty one and then probably a year or two after that two get pregnant. Or better yet, go to college, graduate, then get married and have kids.
