Depends on the things you enjoy doing. Since there are kids attending I strongly recommend Yogi Bears Campground & Resort. There are several locations, so you can pick and choose with the activities at each one. Check it out at www.campjellystone.com

A few other attractions are:

Michigan Adventure (MI)
www.miadventure.com

Stage Coach Stop (michigan)
www.stagecoachstop.com

Coney Island Amusement Park (ohio)
www.coneyislandpark.com

Paramount's Kings Island (ohio)

I hope you all wind up having fun with whatever you choose to do!

One great location in Michigan is Mackinac Island State Park. Travel to Mackinaw City (where lodging is normally lest expensive than on the Island), then take a ferry to this historic island, where vehicles are prohibited. The ferry ride will give the children a thrill of being on the Great Lakes. For the best experience, I personally recommend Star Line Ferry (they have a jet engine installed that propells water upward into a rooster tail behind the boat).

While on the island, you can visit Fort Mackinac (built by the British), which played a role in the War of 1812 and take a bike ride around the 8.5 mile island road. There are numerous historical houses and activities to do.

On the mainland there is also Fort Michilimackinac (built by the French).

Ann Arbor. I miss Ann Arbor now that I live in Texas (I'm from Toledo...). Ann Arbor is a really cool college town with great museums and stuff. What about that Neil Armstrong museum or whatever it's called in Wapakoneta?
Oooh, and I forgot, Lafayette Coney Island in Detroit, or Tony Packo's for Chicken Paprikas in Toledo!
Go to a soft serve stand...they don't have them in TX except Dairy Queen, and it just ain't the same!!!
