I work with people who have Tourettes, and also know some people outside of work that have it. It is their (and my) opinion that he is either faking or exagerating for the camera. The timing is often crucial - He manages a mannerism just as somebody turns to him......

I haven't watched a single minute of Big Brother but I have read the reliable reports from reputable organisations and know that much of what we see is carefully managed for the benefit of Channel 4's viewing figures and the tabloid presses circulation.

It wouldn;t suprise me in the least if Pete didn't have Tourettes at all and the whole thing was a set up.

We know that the results are determined before the very first show is broadcast and that the voting is irrelevant so can we trust anything about the program - I think not.

There are other factors at work tho here - the stressful situation of being in an enclosed space with limited control over your activity, constantly being on camera and trying to entertain so as to win all the prize money is bound to exacerbate his condition. Also, from the edited bits we get to see, he seems to have had some difficult life experiences so he has that on top of it all, all the people that get put on that show have 'issues' so the cocktail of them all just creates a kind of madness that isn't as magnified in society - we hope. He may be 'working it' a bit, but I reckon on the whole, that's him. Be nice if he gave some of his winnings to Tourette's charities or made that Nikki grow up a bit and help do something more than aspire to be a footballer's wife! Good TV tho.

Forget the programme faking, if your "friends" suffer with Tourettes then they should know that everyone's condition differs, Pete's is obviously made worse by stress, how could you possibly think he was faking

I guess you should know better than any of us normal punters. I have no prior experience of Tourettes. Pete just seemed consistently to get worse when he was stressed out.

Most of the time he seems like a less funny version of Lee Evans!

how can you fake it for 3 months???? his tics get worse when all eyes are on him, because nerves make them worse, just because you work with people who have tourette's, it doesn't mean you know EVERYTHING about the disorder, i know people who work with children, does that mean they must know everything about every child??? no everybody is different, that doesn't give you the right to say somebody is faking, his mom was there and as if he would just lie and behave like that if he was faking, get your facts straight. how can you fake tourettes 24/7 for three months????
