I've applied for the supervisor's job were i work now I have to write a letter explaining why I want the job and why I would be the best person to do the job. What should I write I've had a total mind block!!!!

Just be honest and tell them that you are the best person for the job and they will not regret giving you the promotion. Tell them that you know that your team will be strong and work together to get the job done.
Also, I would probably do some research on internet for writing this kind of letter and of course spell check. also, let your friends / family read what you have written for additional feedback.

Write it from the heart. Explain that you're passionate (use that word) about the position, the company, and the products/services. Explain that you look forward to undertaking the task of supervising employees because you "flourish" in a team atmosphere. That should be a good start.

What you can offer the job, what your strengths our and that you will want to grow at the company. Tell them how much you appreciate the opportunity for there consideration and mention any past accomplishments.

Talk about the level of understanding you have in the area because of your previous experience. How you are familiar with the job and you really want it

Talk about how you like the extra responsibility, and how you would be a good leader by getting good results from your staff.
