I forgot to mention that they are causing problems INSIDE my house. In my kitchen to be more especific... Is there a way to get rid of them without the use of chemicals?

Boiling water or really shallow dishes of sugar water, then they will drown trying to get into it.

Instant grits poured over the mounds will help. Bleach would also run them off.
For indoors they sell sticky traps & non toxic liquids. Also pour a line of borax where they are traveling.

Pour boiling water on the ant pile. I suggest you use amdro though. Its not toxic to anything but insects.

2 possibilities...pour boiling water on the mounds. Also put uncooked grits (fine) on the mound.

Grits (uncooked) should do it;
Gasoline should do it;
Moth balls should do it.
