nope. General rule of thumb... on a dial up modem, including net zero, you will be limited to about 1/8th of overall speed. if you connect at 56Kbps, you geneally will cap out at about 7Kbps, although you will see a spike when you first start the download.

Get rid of NetZero and get a premium cable provider like Charter, Cox, or Comcast. If that's not an option, get DSL. Though DSL is fast, cable has far better seek times than DSL.

Forget dial-up. Get DSL or Cable internet it is faster and does not tie up your phone.

2. Some servers start decreasing speed for you to start serving other users. Get ReGet Deluxe or other download manager
