I would like to know what two-toned poems look like. Because I want to make one of my own but I don't know what they sound like or look like! Thanks anyone who answers this with a two-toned poem!

Here's an example I found on the internet...
Me, myself, and I

Most of the time I’m a bright white
Good and nice and clean.
I’m nice to people, not just friends
And give whatever is asked of me.

Other times I am a deep, dark black
Mean to everyone
I "spit" on people and call them names
And even kick them when they’re down.

At the moment I’m a gray in between
Nice to some and mean to others.
Trying to lean toward the white
Because of the idea of going to hell.

You may want to try a poem in two voices, however... Paul Fleishman has some amazing two-voice poems.
Two characters read at the same time. They are so fun to hear!

Two Tone Poem

Was the Tupac poem originally a rap song? I found it almost unreadable but it was better spoken aloud with something of a rap beat. "because no one at home cares" requires a particular stress pattern to make it fit and work. ("2" and "c" are a matter of style but why "knawing?") I'm afraid I massively prefer the Kipling. Both poems are ultimately optimistic and idealistic but come to this not by ignoring the wrongs and pressures of the world, rather by acknowledging and confronting them. There are blandly optimistic poems, and unremittingly dark ones. These, each in their own way, refuse both extremes but not through ignorance of them.
