Daja-vu, is a french term for seeing something twice. Example, you have a dream of a specific location, with specific events, and then it happens, or a less phenomenal experience would be where something happens to you, and your mind keeps a vague note of it, and then the same thing happens at a later date. Your mind draws on that memory, and you have daja-vu. I think both are possible.
Sixth sense is exactly that, an extra sense. This sense is said to "give people a leg up on the competition". Yes the brain is a powerful tool, and we are still unlocking its full capabilities. There are people that can look at a piece of art and TELL you weather it is real or fake, in just a short glance. There is a person that can watch a tennis player fault, and before the person connects with the ball the second time, Will tell you weather the player will double fault. This phenomenon is explained as mental conditioning to the point of professionalism. Giving the person the air of having a sixth sense.
Both are very much real, but completely different things.

I'm not sure what "Deja-vu" means and I have doubts about it being the "scientific explanation" for real time scenarios that seem to be highly similar to past memories. I do remember reading somewhere about most studies showing that people with frequent such experiences are people who also have high stress levels and do not get enough rest; and so their brain (and I'm not sure why the brain does this...) in a "fatigue-type" state creates instant memories of scenarios that happen in real time there by giving the person the feeling that what is happening has happened before. However I do believe we all have a "sixth sense", Albert Einstein said it best in that quote you wrote.

It's interesting that you use 'scientific' in the same sentence as 'deja-vu.' But there are scientific investigations involving the temporal lobes of human brains related to neuro-activity. In blind tests, people experienced 'religious sensations' after being prompted in certain parts of the brain. The hypothesis is that the belief in religion, supernatural entities, the deja-vu phenomena, etc., are all survival mechanisms developed by humans to survive in hostile environments.

The tests are preliminary, but they are intriguing. It would explain why at least 80% of the world's population still belong to some organized religion, even if science can prove their world views are distorted.

Consider the number of dreams one has, most of which are realated to and involvong aspects of one waking life, and then consider the number of separate events that take place every day of ones life. Deja vu is simply coincidence combined with the search for evidence of something beyond oneself.

Humanoids have continuously evolved. Walking upright was one evolutionary step closer to modern day man. What would be the next stage of evolution? Some believe it is acquiring a 6th sense. As many have this ability already, I would tend to agree.

The sixth sense in my opinion is your subconscious trying to reach your conscious mind. Dreams can sometimes influence you when you are awake... you might make decisions based on your dreams believing that your subconscious is at the core of your spirit.

I have two good friends that say this to me every time I phone them - "You freak me out. Every time I think about you, you phone me." - Has this ever happened to you?

I believe human have sixth sense. We just don't believe in it deeply enough to know how to use it.
