1. Dryness is lack of water in your skin. (When not doing "facials) lay off the hot water, and use a skin refresher not an astringent).
2. Acne can be a result of 'overactive" oil glands. (the cooler water helps this too).

Facials: 1. Cleanse: Use a milky cleaner try Baby Magic's.
2. Tone: Witch Hazel, w/ a squeeze of Lemon
3. Moisturize: ever-so-gently and lightly, towel off the excess.
4. Honey&Milk Mask: 2 Tbl Spoons of each, stir and spread on face. Honey moisturizes and is naturally antibacterial, Milk 's lactic acid is good for you too. (Wear this 10 minutes)
5. Take your time in a nice steamy shower. After 10 minutes of masking rinse the mask away.
6. Tone again.

I would suggest Mary kay clensing formula (NOT their velosity, that absolutely tore up my face). It is there older version and the one I us is for oily even though I can have dry skin when i don't mosterize. After cleansing, mix a bit of rubbing alcohal and water on a cotton pad and use as a toner. then use a good mosterizer like the emollient night cream( Mary Kay, it is thick, but worth it) or Arbonne mosterizers. It is extremely important to keep your face mosterized throught the day! I use the more expensive stuff for the first layer and then by like cheap eyeshadows and stuff, cause I don't think that is as important. Hope that helps!

Mix baking Soda and peroxide together.. Make it into a paste! Lightly rub it on! Let it stand on your face for 30 min. ... You will feel a little tingle sensation, then wipe it off slowly with a warm wet wash cloth! It works great for acne! Then use Triple Antibiotic Ointment, or Neosporin to help with the dryness! Use it before you go to bed! When you wake up, wash your face with liquid soap ( anti-bacterial soap ). You will see a change within 2 days!

Dryness and acne? You must have a combination skin with dry areas and oily areas. You need a moisturizer that isn't too greasy. Unfortunately, most home products would contain too much oil that would aggravate the acne. I think your best bet is to consult a skin specialist. Home-made products can save you money, but in the end, it would be worth it to use a professional product line for your particular skin condition.

check out health magazine on-line the july/august 2006 issue has some home remedies for your skin.

applesauce deep cleanser
2/3 cup granulated sugar
3 tbsp applesauce
2 tsp olive oil

mix together and use while taking a shower. the apples slough away dead skin and dirt while the sugar polishes away rough spots.

strawberry t-zone zapper
1/2 cup strawberries (about 6 with stems removed)
1 tsp honey
1/2 tsp lemon juice

mash strawberries into a pulp, them mix honey and lemon juice. leave on for 8-10minutes. use in the evening because the lemon's citric acid can make your skin more sensitive to uv rays.

There are a couple of things you can try, the honey mask is very good you just get some honey Im sure you have some in your house and you rub it on your face and neck ,leave it on for about ten minutes you'll have a nice glow, and should also help you with the acne a little. I believ you can also try a strawbeery mask just mush them up or yougurt.

Make a paste of oatmeal(cooked) apply to face, let dry, rub off with fingers then rinse. It's natural and that is what your face wants, not soap that drys is out. You will never have to use soap again

You can mix up anything you like. Something that includes an antibacterial agent would be a good idea. Also, do exercise and drink lots of water, I bet you won't, if you already don't, but it is a good idea.
