If I give Henry 10 points, and he gives half of what he deserves back to me, how much do I need to give him so that I receive 5 points.
Henry deserves 5 points more than Bruce who deserves 5 points more than me. I don't deserve any points.

You can give Henry 20, points, when he deserves 10 points, so you have five points (and Henry now has 15). Give Bruce 10 points, and he will have five more than you and and Henry will still have five more than Bruce.
