Don't panic that's for sure. You don't have to have a choreographed routine, let your body flow to the music. I would let who ever asked me to dance know that I have two left feet, but don't be afraid...get out there and bounce your chest and back back and forth, kind of like if you were in a rocking chair, and your feet can stay in place....that's always an easy ways to hide it....my boyfriend does it all the time and he can't dance, but you couldn't tell if you saw him. Once you get comfortable with that, take that bounce or rocking motion and swing it from left to right....when you get good at it....you can add different movements...and bingo...you'll be dancing!!! Practice at home...just never be afraid....you won't learn until you try!

"Sorry, I don't know this dance." is pretty universal answer. (That is, if you are at the dance already)

If someone is asking you out to a dance party/social but you don't know how to dance, just say so and ask if there are any classes for beginners offered before the dance.

You would admit that you don't know how...extend your hand to the person asking you to dance...and say, "Yes! But, I must warn you in advance I have no idea how to move like that. I would love to learn if you don't mind teaching me".

Then...let your hair down, kick off your shoes and have a great time!

First Learn how.....If you get into a situation where you are asked to dance, just say I don't know how or say I'll take a rain check cause I twisted my ankle...Learn how and then the next time you can tell him/her yes.

Be honest, tell the person asking you to dance you've never danced before, but your willing to try it.

Be honest but sincere, and it'll work out. Only a goon would ditch you on the dance floor after that.

you have tree choices.
1. Just admit that you don't know how.
2. Just wing it and give it your best.
3. Take some dance lessons so it won't happen again.

If I were you and I liked the guy, I would admit to the problem and ask him if he would teach you. Right then and right there.

Good luck. It sounds like he is chasing you, don't let him get too far back, he could loose the scent. Us guys aren't too bright, we often need help. I'm very glad my wife let me chase her until she caught me. 35 year and counting, I think it is going to work. He says with guarded optimism.
