does he do it all the time or just occaisonally? because many hamsters do this thing where they look like their having a seizure--mostly in corners--and its just play. but the red bottom wouldnt relate to that. if u can get him to a vet u should. being the runt he may have some developmental problems. the mom may eat him if that's the case. how old r they? check his skin--do u see any black specs--mites? if it were mites though they should all be scratching. is he eating ok? r they eating regualr food yet? if it's 1 mth old it can be separated.

what i would do is put him in a seperate cage unless he is still nursing. If thats the case keep in the cage along with the other hamsters. with his red bottom he may have an infection of some kind. i would take him to the vet as soon as possible. the vet will probally be able to perscribe something to help with the sezures, possible infection,or possible mites. make sure to tell the vet that he was the RUNT of the litter. i really hope your baby hamster is okay.

sounds like this is a neurological disorder. not very common, happens in about 1 out of 100 hamsters. Ive been breeding robos for 3 years now and I once had a little baby who did the same thing, he would run in circles and squeak and suddenly flip over and roll around and run in circles again. Good news: its not contagious, no need for quarantine, don't need to separate him from his family yet. Bad news: my little spazoid died of a seizure when he was around 4 months old, and no , he was never normal..i actually named him Spazoid. The red bottom thing, that's some kind of infection most likely unrelated to the neurological problem. if u can, try and grab him and put tea tree oil or plain old Neosporin on it.

Yes, you should take him to a vet A.S.A.P! My hamster runs and cleans herself a lot, but you see every hamster do that. Red butt, not normal that I know of...spazzing out, no clue.
Hope you find a vet soon!

properly it relies upon on how old the newborn hamster is. And besides, I dont imagine you should. even as a hamster sleeps, it particularly needs sleep. it truly is going to fall unwell in case you wake it up too oftentimes. extraordinarily no matter if it truly is a touch one.
