See what your doctor can recommend for you. When I talked to my doctor she prescribed a low dosage birth control to take.

Very difficult to find anything else. First of all I am a pharmacist so birth control pills, shots, patches etc are out of the question. The only thing besides a condom or female condom or diaphram is knowing your body. You can only become pregnant in the 3 days before and 3 days after you ovualte which is usually 14 days prior to your period. So you could use a condom that week assuming you can figure out when that week is........ Now this is just advice don't sue me

The fact that you're nursing may or may not prevent pregnancy (a friend of mine relied on this advice, and got pregnant almost immediately!) I would not count on this fact alone. What about pulling out? They say it is unreliable, but I've known people who practiced it as their only method, successfully. Perhaps, it could work coupled with you figuring out what your "safe days" are. Other than that and abstinence, I don't know.

There is a nursing birth control pill you can get from your gyn dr. I used that after all my children and it works the best. It doesn't hurt the baby thru nursing.

You can go to your gyno and get fitted for a diaphram. I would say you could try to use the rhythm method but that is not very effective. MY best advice is the diaphram, it takes some of the spontinaity out of lovemaking, but fairly effective for birth control.

I had an IUD placed while I was still nursing. It gave me really bad cramps and bleeding for about 3 months(nothing that Ibuprofen couldn't handle)...but I love having it now!! Soooo much better than the pill and shot...talk to your doc and see if it would work for you. :) Lord Bless...!

i'd bypass with the IUD if I have been you. I had the Mirena IUD for 3 years, and function presently had it bumped off to objective for toddler selection 2. The IUD became into painless to get in, I had it put in at my 6 week examine up after my daughter became into born. it is secure to apply while you're nursing your newborn, and it lasts for 5 years!!! Plus you do no longer would desire to rigidity approximately pills or something. the only think of i did no longer comprehend as quickly as I have been given the Mirena is it is can take awhile to your menstral cycles to return to regular after having the IUD bumped off. I had mine bumped off in December 2008, and in the previous couple months my cycles have ultimately decrease back to regular, different than that, I relatively propose the IUD!

You're full of it!! You obviously haven't researched your options. You can take a low progesterone dose birth control while breastfeeding. You should have been swallowed. A good lesson to us all...Use condoms!!!

Go to your doc and get measured for a diaphragm....it is better than a condom (pleasure-wise) for your husband. I used one for years and no pregnancies and no hormones being pumped into your body from the pill.
