I respect that a lot. I would want to have a person that i'm involved with to have a career, that way she wouldnt have to depend on me.

Well, myself being a career woman, then it would depend what they are paying for? If a man wants to pay for dinner or drinks, then that's fine, as long as I can pay next time. However I wouldn't expect a man to pay.
This whole who pays stuff only becomes a problem in my experience when the woman earns considerably more than the man.

If I couldn't afford to pay, I would never ask her out in the first place, career woman , or otherwise.. I think the man ought to pay, regardless of who has the most money. After several dates, it's ok if she insists on paying once in a while, however.

That would all depend on the occassion. If this is a first date or meeting it should be a dutch thing. Even a career woman should understand that. Besides it is an awful thing to feel you owe somebody something if there was nothing there to being with. Guys will expect something in return. Go Dutch

I think a women is every bit as capable as a man in a career. I prefer a womenb with a career. I know that way the only thing holding her to me is me.

Depends on the guy and the girl, I went out with one once and she was obsessed with her job to the point I could have walked out and it would've taken her a week to notice.
