I would say a youth pastor. They seem to be more enerjetic and they can relate more to modern things and tie their sermons in with more modern situations. They can also make the sermons a little easier to understand instead of using big words or analogies.

Neither. if the regular pastor preaches harder (by studying, and practicing) he'll do a better job and if the youth pastor preaches harder (by studying, and practicing) he'll do a better job as well. If both of them are equally good, read the second paragraph :-)
Generally, with everything being equal, that is, both pastors use the same preaching principles, have the same level of education, have a strong church support system, e.t.c, the youth pastor would have a stronger effect on his/her youth congregation. This is simply because the youth have more physical and emotional energy. Once that energy is tapped by saying something like "do unto others as you would like them to do unto you..." the message rides that emotional energy deep into the persons life. Where as if the same message was conveyed to a mostly adult congregation (by a regular pastor), it would not latch on as much because remember adults statistically have more distractors than youth.

Hmmmm, that is a tough one. Through the years, I can say that I have received the most guidance through a youth pastor. I think that because they are on a more personal level with their people, they are in a position to better tailor their message to the company they are speaking to. Regular pastors have to preach to the congregation, and to make their message applicable to all people and ages. This is a tougher job. But, on another note, youth pastor's, I believe, have more pressure placed on them because most of their students rely on them for everything, whether it is regarding major or minor life decisions.

I think that both youth pastors and regular pastors do a great job. What differs is the audience that they reach. Youth pastors reach the younger audience by relating to them and the youths are more likely to listen to what the youth pastor has to say. On the other hand, the adults of the church are more likely to listen to a regular pastor than a "kids pastor"
