Do you not think as we become more technologically advanced that life can become more surreal and strange?

I mean take the internet I can chat to someone I've never met & prob. never will. Filmstars - we all know who they are and their private lives but they don't know us. Mobile phones, laptops etc. PC games I can commit crimes in GTA for instance and never be punished (ok its not real) but you get my (laboured) point...

I think the surreal and strange elements are not dependent on technology but on mankind and that one person from any era in the past can make similar observations,it's all subjective and personal perceptions

Technologically advanced is relative: the first humans to control fire had control of their environment on a scale which would have been unimaginable to their parents.
People have always been able to commit crimes and escape punishment if the crimes they were enacted were only in their imagination. X-boxes and GameCubes are just zimmerframes for the imaginatively challenged.

the boost in technologies is not merely over one hundred years, it is over four hundred or more effective years in accordance to human beings like Newton, Galileo atc. no longer a lot on their discoveries and thoughts, inspite of the undeniable fact that those were major, yet in accordance to conduct of options that they pioneered.
