even as a devoted Yankee fan I'm stuck wondering why in the world we're building a new stadium. the current stadium has a history, not just a New York history but especially one in baseball itself. and what about the curse of the Bambino? legends played on that field, once, why take that away?

For some reason most of you think everyone will forget what happened in that stadium and the people who played there. Unless they come up with a way to erase every ones memory when they walk through the gate there is nothing wrong with a new building. Do you think the old stadium will stand forever? Even the Roman Coliseum will eventually come down.

My nephew Zack answered this one for me. He thinks they should build a new field to keep up with other modern stadiums. New players will become legends in the new stadium. Guys like the Babe will never be forgotten simply because a new stadium is built.
