It isn't always necessarily that way; some boys mature more quickly than others, just as some girls do...it all depends on things like hormones, and genetics, which determine how quickly you mature. I started getting hairy around 13 or so for example. Tell your cousin not to worry...soon enough he'll have more "pit" hair than he wants. LOL

The general rule is that girls tend to mature quicker...they hit their growth spurt quicker, hit puberty a little quicker, etc. but there are occasional exceptions. Plus, when boys finally do hit puberty, they grow much quicker and tend to be bigger and taller....but again, genetics can affect this. For example, everyone on my Mom's side of the family averages between 5 feet to about 5'6" tall, including the men- and my Mom's 5-3....but I am 6'5" thanks to my Dad's genetics.

So I guess what I'm saying is that several factors will determine how quickly and how much you will grow...including things like body hair...and no two people will be exactly alike.

Hope this helped a little.

Girls mature about 2 or 3 years faster than boys.

That's not actually true, it depends on the girl and the boy. Most boys have armpit hair around 14. And it can take longer for some girls too. Your cousin is abnormal though, most boys his age have pit hair.

It's not girls versus boys, it's about your genetics - what you're parents were like. I'm 16 and am now starting to get armpit hair.

I purely concept it became into disgusting and that i did no longer desire my physique to try this, LOL! My mam tried to get me a bra from whilst i became into approximately 9 yet I continuously refused component sparkling till i became into approximately 12. Yeah, i did no longer take it properly ^_^
