For many years I have thought the Electric Light Orchestra were singing about someone called Bruce in the chorus of Don't Bring Me Down. Last week I found out they were actually saying 'gross'!

Remember the song by Enya - Sail away, sail away, sail away?

I thought she was saying save the whales, save the whales, save the whales

would have been much more environmentally friendly don't you think?

"Lithium" by Nirvana is widely misinterpreted.

"TNT" by AC/DC is also confusing, the chorus goes " 'Cause I'm TNT / I'm dynamite / I'm a power load / Watch me explode". A lot of people mistake "I'm a power load" for "I'm a power alone", as well as me when I first heard the song.

"Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden is also rather confusing, along with several songs by Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith.

Creedence Clearwater Revival "Bad moon rising"

"There's a bathroom on the right" instead of "there's a bad moon on the rise".

I never did but a lot of people did when I would listen to Jimi Hendrix.

"Scuse me while I kiss the sky" was misunderstood to be "Scuse me while I kiss this guy."
