Whirlpool seems to have the better dryers on the market. They have three different styles and all three are built well and are trouble free. Maytag has been bought by Whirlpool a few months ago so Maytag is one of the Whirlpool brands. You can also look at Roper and Estate brands also a Whirlpool product and usually do not have any fancy exotic controls and are usually less expensive with the same motors and same quality controls if not the same as the Whirlpool.

We have had Maytag washers and dryers - never had a problem with either one. Look at Maytag.

I like Maytag (easier to get apart) washers and dryers. What hapened to your drier.Reason I ask is they are only a motor, belt and heater, and unless the paint is hurt (outside rusty/ugly) they realy arn't that hard to fix(unless the motor burned up)
