They were never "Glam Rock". They were always Pop Rock, and they continue to be. Other bands in this genre include Journey, Foreigner, Boston, and The Scorpions

Their sound has changed over the years??? Are you kidding??? The reason they have a following is because they stay status quo with their music. They have made slight adjustments for the worse. They've made their sound simpler and the women from the 80's still love them because they haven't changed.
They were always just a pop-rock band even when they were labelled a glam/hair band. They are still a pop-rock band and will forever remain in that genre.

Hard Rock. They were somewhat glam in the 80s, but a little more reserved than other groups, like Poison or Ratt. They still rock, just a little more reserved.

I think they are calling all of those older good bands, hair bands now. Because of the long hair they had. Like Bon Jovi, Guns n Roses, Poison, ect.

Rolling Stones

There are more that will keep up with the times but whose music stays with us., O' don't forget Alice Cooper, who is the opening act for the Stones in Phoenix.
