A few years ago I read a book about a guy and others who go to heaven via buss. When they get there, they have to travel across rigid grass to reach god? The better their choices, forgivness.. it becomes easier to walk/reach god.. I have no idea who wrote this book or the title. I hope you do! Thanks for any info..

P.S. I remember the ending! He wakes up at his desk.. it was a dream?

Sounds like a short story I read once... lots of stories tend to be a dream all along. The movie "Heaven Can Wait" reminds me a little of your book, but I'm not sure of the title either.

Raplh is correct, it is "The Great Divorce: A Dream" by C.S. Lewis from 1945 but redistributed in paperback in 2001. You can buy it online from almost any of the amazon.com's and such.
