Who said "to pull out" not= "to cut and run "? I didn't! you who say these things must be incapable of objective discussion or else you are practicing demagogery(look the word up and digest it's meaning).

Barometer, just look at some of the other Answers to my Q, anyone favoring a pull out at some defined point gets labeled in the way I describe.Senator Chuck Hagel and Representative John Murtha have both been calling for withdrawal and both have been savaged by extremists in the right wing of the Republican Party.

Hagel is a conservative Republican from Nebraska and Murtha is a conservative Democrat from Pennsylvannia. Both are decorated Vietnam veterans with purple hearts and medals of valor earned in combat. TWH 08252006

scourge, ask your own Q's and try answering the Q asked rather than trying to put down the asker or the Q which you are using as an opportunity to show your stripes.

angel, when you reached the point of saying that anyone advocating a withdrawal/pullout (details to be worked out to achieve goals as far as possible) is unamerican you are the reason why I asked the Q. I am sorry for your personal loss but this general Q is an enquiry into the reasonableness of pasting labels on people who are as American as you are. Your not the only one who has suffered for their country. Many of us have parents and grandparents who were injured or died fighting previous wars so their kids and grandkids could enjoy freedoms and rights under our Constitution. I think you need to expand your scope and look at things more objectively. TWH 08252006

It is neither fair nor reasonable. True patriots want these mostly young folks to come home now. The invasion was all based on lies anyway. i.e. wmd, ties to el Queda, ad nauseum ad finitum.

Gosh, I get so sick and tired of how we treat our military troops that are serving for the principles of peace in others countrys. So that we here can enjoy a life without concerns, and a life that we can live in freedom. **** people, my deceased husband had to serve two terms in Vietnam War and the Korean War. Back than was the same disapproval than it is now. Whether we are in a war conflict or we are not in a war conflict, the major fact is that those that serve faithfully in our military deserve all the credit. They serve with honor, respect, dignity and without any judgements of their position towards the political climate they are finding themselves in.They set the values for each and every one of us. I tell you, I am a female military spouse, and if I did not had my shitty heart condition, I would join the Navy right away to serve my beloved USA. As an immigrant we truly appreciate the fact that our GI's are doing for us. They stand for something. Have yourself ever asked "What are all of you stand for?" You're acts are indispictible. Just more soldiers lay down there lifes for us in Iraq and Afghanistan, and in the Eastern front every single day of the war they are in! In stead of mouthing off we ought to write to our troops, sent them special packages, because they and their families live with the bear minimum. And believe me some of their family members don't have enough money to put a house over their roofs, or feed adequatley food to their children. Believe me for the job these troops are doing they are really under-paid. And we are mouthing off the effort that this people bring for us. Have you all ever given that thought? I think any one opposing what our troops are doing does not deserve the title "Americans"> Cause you do not understand the extreme meassurement of the outcome that we are trying to achieve! Put your butts in gear, sign up with the military, and serve your country before you can apply judgement concerning our military troops!!!!!!!!! America needs to learn to grow up!!!!!!!!!!!

Pulling out of troops from Iraq will be great tragedy for the people of Iraq. Once the Iraq is stabilized and its forces are competent to deal with securiy problems, it will be in the interest of all to withdraw foreign troops. USA has paid heavy cost in terms of money and human lives. Objectives must be obained.

Hmmm.... I keep a close tab on the news and I don't hear anyone using the words "gutless", "unpatriotic", or "idiot". Who are these neocons/warhawks that you speak of?
Anyway, with the possible exception of Ann Coulter, as far as I can tell 99.9% of people who support staying in Iraq to finish the job seem to be fairly diplomatic and politically correct in their phrasing.

I am not sure of your stance, your question rambles a bit. Pulling out is impossible, the place will implode. We should have toppled sadam years ago. Just something about gassing your own people that sickens me, even more than wmds that were never found. Remember the last guy that gassed his own?? The world placated and tolerated him to their own peril. What is, is.

If you think you're a gutless, unpatriotic idiot, who are we to argue with that fact. If you have a compelling argument why we should pull out of Iraq other than "we shouldn't be there" lets hear it. If you have a plan to keep this country safe, lets see it.
I don't see or hear any alternatives coming from the liberals. Do you?

Unpatriotic , no .
But it is a bit idiotic to cut & run .
One does not have to be a warhawk to want to protect the American public .Why would anyone call other Americans names , for wanting to keep terrorism off our shores ?Since when did freedom pertain only to a polical party ?

It depends. If you are actually urging soldiers to desert, then you are out of line. If you are supporting the US actually pulling it's military out of Iraq, then you are exercising your rights. Encouraging someone to break the law because you don't agree with something is not a "right", and it's also pretty cowardly to try to get others to do something you're not willing to do yourself.

Yep...
It's true, fair & resasonable...
Anyone urging US troops to pull out of IRAQ is a gutless , unpatriotic idiots...
The US can not allow terrorist states to flourish in the Mid East.
Why ?
Because they could do things like flying airplanes into High Rise
Buildings in New York...
Remember that ?

Bring them home. My God a large percentage of them aren't even old enough to drink. I'm VERY proud of them for being over there...at the same time I think they should be brought home. God bless them for being over there in that hell...It seems like another Vietnam.
