ok me and my boyfriend have been going out for 10 months on the 25th, and i really want songs that would describe love. all i have are "only one" by Yellowcard, and "Trees" by Marty Casey and the lovehammers. i really want this to be special for me cuz last time he remembered something like this, i felt bad, because i forgot.

INXS's catalog is full of them, more than a few which would be on my top of this list; so is The Cure's (surprisingly, maybe to some), as is The Indigo Girls'. Echo and the Bunnymen come to mind (although I'm not one of their big fans), Simple Minds too, I suppose (but I sorta hate them).

Shine Like It Does - if I had to chose just one (but this would so totally be personal and hard to say for others). I can find I Need You Tonight on myspace players but not Shine, sorry - sample on amazon though.

Oh! Do "Kiss From A Rose" by Seal. He's so talented, and his voice...it's just so nice. The lyrics are kind of weird, but make sense, and your boyfriend would probably think of it as "mushy gushy, but nice" XD

And, you should try The Monkeys "I'm A Believer" and some stuff from the Beetles... Good luck!
