I bought a turquoise sleeveless sweater, and today spilled french onion soup on it, and used Tide to Go stain remover to get the stain out. Well, it took care of the stain, but it also bleached the fabric. So, now right in the middle of the front of the sweater, there's a faded spot. Any suggestions to fix it? Has anyone else ever encountered a problem like this before? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sorry, but there isn't really anything you can do to reverse bleaching. It's possible that it may not really be bleached, just residue from the stain remover, so try washing it before you throw it out. I didn't know Tide To Go could do that, thanks for the heads-up!

I am sorry about your dilema. All stain removers should be tried out on a small, inconspicuous area of a fabric to make sure that they don't harm the fabric. Most of them will tell you that.

Unfortunately, once the damage from bleach is done, you cannot un-damage it. As well as removing some of the color, bleach also weakens the fabric. After you wash the article, you will find that the color is a little lighter than you see now, plus the fabric may feel softer (weaker), or may have a hole there.

:-)

You can always be creative and add an accessory such as a scarf, tie or a broach. I don't think Tide to Go contains bleach. Wash the sweater and add either ammonia or baking soda with your regular detergent. They can brighton the color.

Oooh. Using bleach on a cotton sweater is a BIG no no. I'm afraid you've damaged your sweater. The only solution is to get a new one. Next time, don't use solutions that contain bleach!

Im afraid the bleach had taken the dye out of the garment. The only thing I can suggest is getting hold of some material dye which is a darker colour the your sweater and re-colouring it.

Breastmilk has stained a number of my issues, yet no longer many. It does look humorous whilst it dries, yet many times interior the wash it comes out nicely. As others have mentioned, it extremely is rather useful to speculate in some nursing pads. I rather have rather liked the washer-friendly cotton ones--they breathe greater helpful than the disposable ones, and it extremely is a one-time cost fairly than having to purchase them persistently. whilst i can not get the garments interior the washer at contemporary, I soak them in water and consider out to get out the stain that way, or save them in an hermetic plastic bag (those are very accessible to hold interior the diaper bag--you may positioned grimy diapers in them in case you may, or save grimy clothing in them!) once I get domicile and function time, i attempt to rinse out the stain interior the sink and then use stain remover suitable in the previous the wash. I rather have got here upon that the DREFT stain remover gets out the spit-up stains on little one clothing (she hardly spits up on me), and it additionally works great on little one poop stains (which would be something you will in all threat handle later.) additionally, the spray-n-wash with confirm skill. the two one in all those paintings greater helpful than stain stick, zout, or shout.
