I strongly recommend taking voice lessons and joining your school or community choir. Singing in a choir will help you because it's not just your voice that's being heard, so you won't be ambarrassed. Voice lessons can help you get over your fear, as well as help you to become a better singer. It's important that you find a voice teacher who you feel comfortable with.
If possible, I also recommend taking piano lessons. Learning piano will help you understand the fundamentals of music. Good luck!

Well the best thing to do to get over stage fright is to start singing in front in your family. Once you become comfortable singing in front of them then you gradually increase the size of your audience and keep practicing that until you believe that you have overcome your stage fright or your fear of performing in front of a large crowd. But before you do any of this make sure singing is something that you want to pursue. I would also look into getting a vocal coach as well to make sure sure your vocals are as good as they can be. Other than that practice practice practice. Good Luck

Sing in front and with your friends and see how it goes. You could always sing in the car, drinving it or not, to practice loudly w/ a radio. Practice it is fun.
