For the record My Q is legit and it is a challenge to those who think and speak that way about fellow Americans.

John J said: "And since this is some obvious attempt at profiling, put me down on the "wacko Libertarian" list." I am doing no sch thing. I asked the Q for a different reason: to get you and people like you all over the political spectrum to examine their use of labels as if they had any real validity. Frankly I think it is a divisive practice that amplifys the quality of the disageement, if any, and dampens the quality of the agreement, if any between the parties.

Isn't it amazing, I give the people actually guilty of calling Liberals "Communists" or "Socialists" a chance to explain the meaning or use of the terms and the response to my Q is minimal? That non-response by the guilty namecallers makes any rational discourse impossible.

Typically I don't use those labels, since it would just make me look ignorant. In rare instances, I'll use those terms when they really do apply. For example, if the "liberal" starts talking about collective ownership of industry, I'll call them a socialist, because that's what they are advocating.

I would like to point out, however, that conservatives are erroneously labeled as "fascists" AT LEAST as often as liberals are mislabeled as communists. To those who don't believe me, just keep participating on Yahoo Answers and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Perhaps you have not heard of the the American Socialist party or the American Communist Party, both of which have been folded neatly into the American Democratic Party through the auspices of "liberalism". We can call our fellow Americans and anyone else whatever we want, at least for now. And since this is some obvious attempt at profiling, put me down on the "wacko Libertarian" list.

If you have a empirical observation of this then you might be a Democrat.

It is common for people to fantasize that they are persecuted or stalked by some phantom force. It's routinely called paranoia.

I don't believe there is a working Communistic society on Earth. The Catholic Church has a Theocracy which is similar in it's Monastic Orders.

So any name calling that you are exposed to is most likely unfounded. Have you tried fishing or gardening as a way to relax?

because most liberals (not all) think that the government is here to take care of all its people and all their needs.. And they use tax money for this... They want free health care for all.. (not a right in the constitution) they want free higher education for all (again not a right) they want the government in charge of everyone retirement (Social Security) Pretty much the people pay a higher tax rate to have the government pay for all of this.... Which means you take home less in your pocket from your job.

In Communist and Socialist countries this is how it works, the government owns everything and they just give the people an allowance...

In a conservative view: people feel that they are responsible for themselves, and the government is there to make sure everyone is treating everyone else fairly.... Don't tax heavily for government programs.. more money in your pocket to do what you want with it..... That is true freedom

Some liberals may in fact have communist leanings, but don't break an ankle in your rush to exhume Joe McCarthy...you hear accusations of communism on one side, and fascism on the other, people sure seem to like those 'isms', too bad they haven't figured out 'americanism'(well some people have that anti-americanism thing down to an art, but let's not go there) yet, but maybe they'll get there someday...

I don't know whether you're left or right politically since questions like these are often not genuine. But communism isn't really a big force in the US anymore. And the conservatives call themselves reds, and live in Red States.

The classes that the Democrats propose are reminiscent of the classes of the Democratic Socialists in Europe. they only won't be able to call themselves Democratic "Socialists" interior the U. S. because people might want to flow ballistic. it truly is not user-friendly sufficient for them to interrupt out with liberal anymore it truly is why they are utilising "innovative" which sounds a lot less threatening. The Democrats even use the classes of the european Democratic Socialists as examples of the kinds of classes that they could favor to implement interior the U. S. alongside with authorities-run prevalent health care, paid maternity go away, authorities newborn care, compulsary prevalent pre-ok, union closed shops, etc. Conservatives at the prompt are not fearful of Obama. it truly is scary even if that the final inhabitants is so gullible. it truly is hard to protect as "not hateful" a set of people of in spite of political crew who've spent more beneficial than 7 years for my area attacking the President of the U. S., making interesting of him and his relations because of coverage adjustments. i stumble on them intensely impolite, petty and extraordinarily offensive. i am going to offer you any type of causes for vote casting against Clinton, Obama, Kerry, et al, without ever sinking to the depths that the classic Democratic Senator or Congressman does on an favourite foundation on the floor of the Congress. i might want to by no ability say a number of the hateful issues that come out of the mouth of Sen Obama or his surrogates. they are only shockingly impolite and offensive.

If conservatives are so hell-bent on calling liberals communists and socialists, we liberals should start calling them fascists and Nazis.
